I don't if it's Hi End, and I really don't have a clue to what stuff is defined as Hi End or not. If it's definded as price tag and built quality versus their competitors, the SP stuff is not Hi End. But who cares.

I bought a pair of SP C3's a while ago, just to check out what all the fuzz was about. After testing them, they've pretty much ended up on the shelf, mostly because we have some other "good stuff" lying around. I used them this weekend for backup vocals, because all the "good stuff", or "Hi end" if you like were already assigned to other duties. All I can say is that the SP C3's made us smile, and they performed great. There and then, I couldn't care less if they were Hi End or not; they did a great job in the given situation.

The build quality of these things (and most other Chinese stuff I've seen or used) is really bad. I accidentaly knocked one of the C3's over, and the grilles flew apart, and the capsule housing looks like the leaning tower of Piza.
