my current favorite acoustic guitar mics are a josephson c42, josephson e22s, soundelux u-195, cad m-9 and a t.h.e. kp-6m. all are good depending on the guitar/song, etc.. for $1500 you could get a t.h.e. kp-6m and a gefell m-930 (or soundelux u-195) and have a couple of good acoustic options and a good vocal option.
