I plan to mainly use the FX via the Cubase external fxs. Some ppl say than just hooking up a fx box using in's and out's is NOT as effective as using a insert option.??..?? Can someone inform me please!

Insert is for just one channel (mono) Aux send and return to channel 11/12 can be used by more than one channel at a time and would be stereo. Both methods are appropriate depending on what you want to do.
