Hi,
if I understand your question correctly, why split?
just get more cards and send paralell signals out of your DM2000 to 2 MX2424s?.
this is how Ive done my last 4 locations dates.

2 DM2000s, each with 24chs of TDIF and 24chs of AES
So im sending 48 chs to radar via the TDIF and 48 chs to PT via the AES.
Both recorders are being fed post fade, post eq, post dynaminc.
So I have the show in two different places, on two different formats.
As well as a third back up in the TV truck on the VTRs.
