harvey.
thanks for the info.
i didnt realise it was up to 60 real instruments.
my goodness.
so where does traditional multitrack software like powertraks n reaper that i use fit into the real band picture ?? this is what i'm wrestling with.
is realband like powertraks for example, where one has 48 traks to record to ??
OR..should one think of realband as akin to rapid song bed trak development,
THEN bring the real trak bed traks into reaper or powertraks n add ones upfront lead vocal n other lead traks ?
this is sorta what i'm wrestling with.
OR..can a song be done completely in realband ?
ie..the lines are sorta blurry to me on this question.

re..peter and the team. yes ive always had great admiration for them.
cos ive been a powertraks fan/user for years. and would suggest to people to try it.
cos it ran so solid for me.
cos i truly believed it was all one needed to do a song. and it was such low cost
for all the huge number of features provided.
some people still dont realise there is a raft of fx in powertraks includeing echoplex stuff.
thus i'm curious, does realband include like powertraks a suite of built in fx ??
like echo/chorus/reverb n tons of other fx ??

also the no dongle aspect attracted me plus the fact one wasnt ripped on hi upgrade fees as new versions came out. i'm now a fan of reaper for many of the same reasons.
in fact i use many of the powertraks fx in reaper cos they are very low resource useage.
and reaper supports dx plug ins.
what i'm trying to asess is where realband might be used with audio/midi multitrack software.
for example in realband how many audio traks can one record to ?
