Get a nice sound with the Fatso, then try to duplicate that sound with Voxengo Tapebus. This is assuming that the Fatso is more capable than the Voxengo.
Steps for correct A/B
1.You have to play .wav file X thru the output of the DAC into the Fatso, then record back into the A/D.
2.Then run .wav file x thru output of the DAC into the A/D without any analog processing, and apply the Voxengo to the recorded file.
Any color or distortion added by the A/D D/A process will be present in both files so it will be a fair A/B comparison.
