LOL well I have a MV8000 sampler, its kinda like a MPC but roland, it has one osc only the fx are nice on it has filters etc but I have a feeling I will be able to get what I am wanting from the akai better than the roland (correct me if im wrong) I am wanting it to be a synth but with a difference I kind of miss the micro modular as that had the best sound of synth I have ever ever heard and i was wanting to use the akai instead.

I think i will give it a try and see how I go my mv only has one osc in it, does the akai have everything a normal synth say a ms2000r or a supernova has? and can you say put osc one to be sine and osc 2 to be square etc.

i have a keyboard controller (fatar) would I be able to program that to manipulate the filters by knob twiddling rather than menus in the akai?

If you don't have a good general sampler, I'd keep the S2800. If you already have a good general sampler, then sell it.[/quote]
