M11 mod for Samsung power supply ¿ !

Greetings all,

My M10 fans are working well. My question now is... apparently my G4 is in this percentage that have a samsung power supply.

That makes it more difficult apparently, to install the M11. I included directions below; sorry they're so long. Don't read them if you don't want to.

I'm just trying to figure out... can i do this? Is there anyone reading this who has done it? Apparently i have to get an insulating sleeve as described, which i can do, but I don't understand what they mean by "the sensor head has to be dismantled". Apparently i have to actually take apart the temp sensing part of the fan... ?

Thanks so much to anyone with a word of advice.

1. The fan bracket can only be fastened
to one fan via 2 screws or rubber
elements (green arrow). The layout of
the screw holes is not identical with the
Acbel-power supply, which is used
almost exclusively. Omitting two
screws is uncritical.
2. The temperature sensors should best be fastened to the perforated plate with a cable
tie (green arrow). The sensor cables should be insolated additionally in the area
where they could come in contact
with the transformer or the heatsink.
Suitable, for example are shrinkdown
plastic tubing (yellow arrow
pointing to yellow tubing in picture)
silicon tubing, or PVC tubing with a
length of 19-20cm and an inner
diameter of 6-8mm. In order to slide
the extra insulation over the cables,
the sensor head has to be
dismanteled. The two NTC
sensors (small grey elements)
have to be removed from the
socket. The leads have to be
pulled out of the socket carefully
by pushing down lightly on the locking mechanism in the socket openings. The lead
pairs should be marked in order not to reverse them. In case of reversal the fan will
not operate! The extra lead pairs should be shortended with a cable tie as shown by
the red arrow in the picture.
3. The fan lead is connected to the
socket marked by the red arrow.
When closing the the case, the
newly insultated sensor lead
should be positioned as shown
by the green line. Using the long
screw in the place marked by a
blue arrow in pic.1 is not possible.
The power supply can now be
installed.
