the S2800 is a pretty cool sampler. its esentially a cut back S3000xl with a few features missing. most importantly is the lack of SCSI which can make importing and backing up programs and multis a pain in the read end.

the effects card is pretty cool to, no where near a lexicon or a TC when it comes to quality, but hey, if your using it for lo-fi sounds it aint really going to matter too much!

im pretty sure you can import S950 programs straight in, but from memory you will have to re-map the samples to the right keygroups.

and if nothing else, it makes a pretty cool modular synth, as the routing you can do internally is pretty awesome

hope that helps you out! ohh PS, ive had a heap of trouble trying to find an english version of the manual, so i just use the S3000xl manual, almost everything is done the same.
