| It's a mistake to ship with the UPS store unless you're prepared to be ripped off. The UPS store is an independent 3rd party establishment that adds their own rates on top of UPS stated rate (which you can find out on their website).
1) First problem - Having the UPS store pack it up (which I'm pretty sure they charge too much for).
2) Using their insurance instead of getting your own UPS account (which is free) and making a label on their UPS.com online system and printing it and taping it to the box.
3) They also generally charge about double for the shipping itself, not including the overpriced insurance.
Your box would have cost about $45 (give or take a couple dollars) to ship with full insurance if you had done the online (with your account), then print label method. About 60% less. |
