| I've never used a real LA2A, so I can't comment, except to say that the GTC2 opto sound totally blows away the UAD emulation. It's round and fat like my wife was when she was pregnant with our twins! The FET sound is perhaps a little 1176-ish, but I don't have one to here to A/B with.
You would have to patch it through to use both channels on the same signal, but why would you want to do that? You do have the option of using both compression circuits on the same signal (on each channel); I am sure GT would tell you that the GTC2 is very much its own beast. It is a lot of fun. |
