I just did my first experiments, starting with bass. The P-1 is a GREAT bass DI for rock bass, most definitely. That forward mid and upper mid type of sound is great. You can roll off the highs substantially and get rid of all of the rattle and still have plenty of presence for rock. With just a limiter to handles the peakiness, and an EQ to roll off the highs and lows and notch out a bit in the middle, it sounds great with my Jazz, with the mids knob pulled back a bit and the highs pushed up, and on the kneck pickup (without any amp sim, just the raw DI.)

Definitely nice. Now for some guitar DI experiements.
