So would something like that new Ludwig Accent Custom Zep Set be "too much" drum for recording, given the type of music that I mentioned I'm aiming for? I know it won't have a problem being big, I'm just worried that it will still be big even when I don't want it to be. I don't need pounding bass drum on folk music, know what I mean? I'm asking because I found one of these Zep kits that's less than a year old for $500 and it comes with gig bags for everything.
Maybe a good middle of the road kit would be better with something like a 22" kick?
