The dynamics section is the same in E-Channel and G-Channel plug in's. I posted a quick Q Clone graph of the difference in eq's with +6 added to each band here if you are interested:

Is a Waves SSL G eq worth $200 to you that you can use multiple times? To me, it is even though I'll use the E-series much more often. But another consideration is that with that $200 you are covered in case they do issue something like, psht, I dunno, an SSL 9000 channel strip or something within your renewed wup period.
Wup has turned into a great program for me (I got the API, GTR3, Puigtec/Puigchild, etc for no additional cost). I'll be renewing next time around.
