I got my V6 running today. I put the SSL G channel and SSL channel on an acoustic guitar I recorded 6 mos ago. I then switched between the two using the preset "acoustic guitar" in each.
The difference was subtle (I am monitoring with Focal Solo 6's). It seemed to me that the acoustic guitar pumped more when going through the SSL channel. The pumping was not present in the G channel. This is good for the G channel.
Like I said the difference is subtle, it's not like I turned on the G channel and went "whoa a totally new sound". I think that "sweet" comment earlier is a good way to describe the difference, just remember this is a slight difference, not a night a day thing.
