| When it comes to the "physical" noise of a G4 I've found only one perfect solution. I punched a hole in the wall and placed the computer in the next room.
I was looking to see if someone else suggested this - I'm a PC user, but I spent $160 on computer quieting, only to eventually put a hole in the wall and move the computer into the next room.
It definitely adds to the peacefulness of my home studio. The 'studio side' has foam over the hole in the wall, so it's all good.
