Haven't tried the STC-8 on separate tracks yet, it's nailed to the stereo bus.

I try not to compress the single tracks at all, if possible, recording and mixing. The lead vocal and drum room mics are the only tracks that get normally compressed.

I don't want the left side dynamics influencing the right and the other way around. I flip between ki and hara, depending on the song, no rules.

The Massive Passive is a different beast, don't go by what you see on the dials. These are just what I ended up with on this mix, but the settings tend to be somewhat similar on other records.

I use a "clicky" mic for inside the kick and the Sub-Kick for the outside. In the mix I normally low pass the sub-kick at around 300Hz
