Finding a rack unit that looks nice in the studio and is roadworthy is going to be a bit of a challenge I believe. that's because studio furniture is designed to look good but not have to withstand the rigors of load-ins and load-outs. (repeated banging around in and out of vehicles/doors/loading docks will really trash a nice wood finish). Likewise, road cases are built to be banged into things, dropped by baggage handlers, tossed into the back of vans, shipped in the back of semis, etc. Not sure how much room there is between the two. I doubt that IKEA TV stand would last even a single gig.
Maybe a case with a faux textured vinyl finish or fake woodgrain would be the best bet. I've never been a fan of rug cases myself, although I have one. (it's currently serving as a squirrel feeder outside).
