but the pre can be fully oprated from the PC and so can the midi i/o.
Digi probably didn't know that far in advance what was coming down the line but the fact that basically they just build a box with software controlled buttons and pots and sliders is the great thing about Procontrol and control 24. any new feature in the soft can be programmed to control with one of the controllers.
