| I went the SSL Duende route for this and I am very pleased. By far the best sounding plug ins I have ever heard. A Duende can also process up to 32 mono tracks so it doesn't tie you down so much.
I also have UAD but I am not using it as much since its card can't process more than a few (very few) instances of the plug ins. If you don't mind this problem, and you are willing to give UAD all your precious PCIe slots, or willing to buy a magma expansion for the price of a MAC PRO, you can buy many cards and I am sure you will be pleased with their brilliant plug ins, its just not the smartest investment given the options.
I never used sonnox, but my friends who use their plug ins are very pleased, and they are native!!! You might want to check them out. |
