| Two questions about API lunchboxes...
Just picked up a couple of API 525 comps and I'm wondering if anyone's using them with the stereo link in a lunchbox and if anyone knows a way to make the stereo link switchable.
Also, from the 6B lunchbox description on the API website:
"The 500-6B comes with "nominal level" jumpers located on the connector board. Although it comes factory set at +4, the levels for either the input and/or the output can be changed to -2. This can be accomplished easily by using needle-nose pliers. Instructions are printed on the connector board for the nominal selections. Extra jumpers are also supplied and attached to the connector board just in case a channel jumper gets lost."
It seems that this is a discontinued function that can be made functional at the factory. The pinout diagram lists pin 2 on the pre as:
512c, 550b, 525, 560b OUTPUT + (+4)
and pin three as:
512c, 550b, 525, 560b OUTPUT + (-2)
I'd prefer not to send the box back for this. If anyone's got experience with this, I'd be grateful.
thanks!!!
