The VU has a nice GUI, and it definitely sounds different, but it just seemed thin compared to the main three 1176, la2a, la3a which I use all the time. I think the la3a is my favorite in general now. |
That thinness will happen with the Fairchild. Including a "real" one. Heard that from a Puig video. Where they shine to me is on vox & guitars (Puig) again. I put them on Vox busses, and Maybe on a lead or bkg.
