VERY, VERY Good points. My feelings exactly. Software synth's tend to be a bit "slow" as far as the mouse fiddling or whatnot. At least with the keyboard or module i can GO str8 to the sound im looking for. Software synth's give me TOO MANY options. I spend more time dancing with options than making a beat.

Software synth are cool but i would dfegad on em before i give up my keyboards for em,lol!
