Not sure about the LARC cable but I replaced one on a standard 224 (metal remote). It was a standard 25 pin DSUB wired just like a printer cable. I bought a new one on eBay for like $6.00 and it worked perfectly. Check the pin config with a multi meter. Maybe this is something cheap and standard too.
