If you need more inputs than the 8 analog offered on the Digi you might want to consider something with 8 channels of ADAT optical out to expand your input capabilities to 16.

The TL Audio Tubetracker has this option, but the sound can be quite colored and "fat" but this might be what you're looking for. This is the only console with ADAT out I have any experience with, but I'm sure there must be others as well...
