I'm currently using two sets of monitors. One set is a "pro" bi-amped active pair. The other set is a 3 or 4 inch Rat Shack pair that are ten years old if they are a day. If it doesn't sound good on the Rat Shack pair, the mix ain't done.

I’ve got a friend who swears by using an RTA to keep everything "in line."
