Im pretty good when it come to tearing things apart and fixing them. I just picked up a sondtacs M series 32 input 8 buss.. stereo output of course..

Im heading to NY to pick the console up wednesday. It was a good buy at $575 US. At least I hope so.

The console is in working order comes with power supply and a roadcase.

Now to the point. I KNOW this thing is going to need a good cleaning. SOme of the faders are scatchy and it looks like it needs a good once over.

Can someone please give me a step by step, or a headstart on what to do and not to do...

Im thinking since its modular.. pull A strip at a time and Use some Can Air... then some Deoxit..(IT has a little lube in it right?) Then Maybe if you think its cool add a little oil (I have used sewing macine oil in the past) to the pots if they need it.

What should I look out for when taking strips out...

Im pretty sure the talkback on this thing sucks ass.. from what I was told. I may have a tech replace this eventually...

So in a nutshell.. anything in the way of advice or a word of wisdom from all you slutz would make me very thankful.
