I don't know much about the engineers and I can't remember a lot of the specific songs but here goes...

Lenny Kravitz - Are You Gonna Go My Way CD was the first time I ever paid attention to a mix. The weird panning drew me in.

Les Nubian - 2 Steps forward. The instruments sounded like I could reach out and play them myself.

Ledisi - Feeling Orange But Blue Sometimes. The guitar solos sound so chocolatey. I had never heard anything like that before.

Kieth Sweat - Right and Wrong Way - I had never heard that kind of Hip Hop thump in a ballad before. It changed me.
