| Setting up a sub to work with a pair of near fields is a science itself. Personally i've never heard a system done right. Location in the room and crossover points are crucial. I mostly advise people against it and suggest to get a bigger speaker setup to work as one.
If you want to buy a sub anyway go with a REL. Velodynes are also nice as well.
