It does not mimic a Minimoog very well in terms of sound, but the controls are very similar in the programming style to a Mini. It can mimic the sound of a Prophet 5 pretty well as all the Prophet 5 presets are embeded into a bank on all Nordlead2's. I wouldn't say it sounds as "big" or "phat" like a Prophet, but it does hold it's own. I have had my Nordlead2 for over 11 years and it has never let me down. You can hear it all over my tracks on my homepage. It is simply a workhorse in my arsenal of synths and can't see myself without one. I dunno about it sounding like a Jupiter, but it has officially replaced my Juno-106 many times over. Still use my Juno, but the Nord always takes the lead. Awww man, I just caught it! No punn intended!!! Lol!!
