Will this suck?
Hello,
Next week I am recording a small classical ensemble (about 17 mixed strings, woodwinds, brass, and percussion, along with choir). Due to certain circumstances, I might be stuck using a pair of AKG TLII's in ORTF near the conductor, supplemented with various other spot mics and ambience mics. I've heard people slam the 414's for orchestral recordings, and was wondering if anyone here has had experience with them used in this way. What can you tell me?
