we really should combine this thread with the other monitor thread on the board now. until then i'll copy the post i had made about timbaland's studio and the near field he uses as a rebuttal to ken's bashing of the KRK's... I don't have the event or krk's but this makes for an interesting discussion:

Funny that you mentioned those... I've seen the KRK 8 inches in quite a few recent timbaland studio vids on youtube. He had them in his main control room in his VA studio here.. (along with some mains and NS10's though)

Must be something about those he likes if could have any kind of monitoring he wanted and he has those.. I didn't know of those were the RP8s or the V8's though, Just couldn't miss that yellow cone. But then again, his last album was crap sonically speaking. Clipping everywhere... Maybe thats why?
