Low freq leaps to the tracking room

I have a "home alone" studio in my garage. It's semi-treated ; with acoustic tiles in the lowered ceiling and some fiberglass above it. The sound at my listening position is OK but the further I move from the monitors, the more bass builds up. When it gets to the tracking room (which is in the other end of the rather long garage) the bass is too audible if I'm monitoring loudly. Even though I did install double glass and a fire-proof doors between the two spaces, the bass works it way through.

So my question: By installing bass traps in the corners at the monitors, would that reduce the bass build up in the other side of the room ?

Thanks,
Kalli
