Nothing unique here. SPL did that with their gainstation 3 years ago. I have the 8 channel version - great pre. The most popular in our studio.

No way to really know until having a listen, but it seems like a great idea in theory. The real trick is how the individual preamps sound and how well they nailed the phase alignment between them, which like I said earlier, is not necessarily easy to do in the analog domain. If they got that right, this could be a really cool addition to the arsenal.
Just by design, it almost has to be capable of a unique sound. |
