I did exactly the same thing with an old set of BX5a's. I knocked one off a stand whilst reaching behind it.

I'm pretty sure most other monitors would have been killed falling from the same height, but it didn't help that the BX5a woofer magnet is attached with a pea size blob of what can only be likened to PVA children's glue.

MAudio build quality is atrocious!

Not all bad news though - I upgraded to P33-A's and I future proofed my speakers with a new policy regarding getting behind the desk - unplug everything, and move it somewhere else! Glad I didn't learn to do that more expensively.
