Do most artists actually do this, and what are the chances of getting into legal trouble if you don't?
This article says that - for all practical purposes - it's impossible to get samples cleared, but at the same time we all know that most, if not all, big industrial acts have at some point in their career been sampling in huge amounts..
I'm just asking, because I can't seem to find any real info on this. Sorry if it's a bit off topic, but I guess it's somehow a point for everyone doing music with samples..
