If you can tear him down that badly after listening to those songs...well...he must have run over your family cat. Music is definitely personal taste...and I can't tell you what sounds good to your ears...but that is an extreme slam (worst ever). Why the hate? Give me an insight into the stuff you think is great...and the drummers that impress you. This might shed some light on it...
Or it could be my other theory...I think a lot of people are jealous of Lars cuz they think to themselves "I can play better than that"...and they forget that it isn't just about the chops. People tear down Jimmy Page the same way "sloppiest guitarist ever...terrible technique". Are you kidding me? It is about the music...the songs...and what your band sounds like...otherwise, you should just go hang out at the Guitar Center "Drum Off" competitions.
