| Even better - "Lifecycle" is available on stereo & multichannel surround SACD (HUSA-9139). Rich Breen did a wonderful job recording and mixing the project. I mastered the SACD and barely a thing had to be touched from the source mixes. The Yellowjackets are in top form as always on this session and guest Mike Stern is featured throughout!
Rich's stereo and surround mixes were recorded in 24/96 and transfers to DSD for the SACD master were made through multiple dCS 972 D-D converters with custom conversion algorithms. Any "mastering," as minimal as it was, was performed on the 24/96 mix sources prior to conversion to DSD. The final DSD masters were assembled, authored and DST-encoded for SACD cutting masters on the SADiE 5 DSD workstation.
