Yes, but I wouldn't use the term "reflection points" because that implies the places halfway between your ears and the speakers. The rear wall is often the main culprit.

That's not a bass trap, though I guess it could be made into a bass trap. The purpose is to scatter mid/high frequency reflections. Curved wood reduces flutter echo, but it's not as good as a QRD type diffusor which also reduces comb filtering.
