I think its a great start in getting loads of decent analogue emulation sounds. Nice package with its keyboard. Not too much to get bogged down with programming-wise. To be honest I dont like programming softsynths too much-so having a few knobs on a corresponding box is a neat solution. I would go for it - but you can try the demo first?
I very much doubt there is any difference between the AF and full discrete versions.
