Grumble...I am merely saying he was influential. i am not saying Lars is the best by any means. He played in a great band...made amazing music...and played pretty damned well. Are there other metal drummers with more chops? Sure...he isn't even in the virtuoso team picture. Neither was Keith Richards...Ringo...Townsend...Rudd...Philthy Animal...etc. I am not sure why everyone likes to rip on him...I didnt think his playing was that bad...and the music KILLED.

As far as other drummers who 'fade' Lars...well...I assume that means 'SMOKE' him. Yes...there are...but none of us has recorded a Master of Puppets. Give the guy a little credit is all I am saying...
