Joe Meek JM47a is a very nice mic for female vocals. I was very impressed how it sounded on my girlfriend's voice. Extremely clear and present, but the sibilance was low and not in need of a de-esser. I'm using it with a Focusrite Trakmaster. I don't know how it sounds for other applications. I've yet to experiment.
