Picking up the phone, talking to the guy, and then booking him for your minimum studio time billing block -- which better be a lot more than five minutes.
In my (mostly non-audio) day job, I often have good customers call me with quick fixes and tiny things. I try to be flexible. I try to not nickel and dime my bread and butter clients. But if you don't charge for your time, you're a sucker. And I've been a sucker enough times to know that that's not how you keep your head above water.
