How old is the kit? Maybe since Ray Ayotte "left" Taye the QC has suffered............then again, maybe not.
Depending on how much, being out of round shouldn't be a problem, actually, it's not unusual, I'd be more concerned with the bearing edges, if they're not consistant, level, etc., then that's just sloppy workmanship. The shells are probably sourced from Keller and Taye may not have even realised they had some out of round stocks.
