I was reading the paper manual before, there seems to be much more info in the docs on the software CD, so all is good.
Apparently, I have to move my LAN connection to ethernet port 2 if I want to setup the MC with it's own router, as it must be on port 1.
That's why I wanted to start out by just hooking it up to my existing switch, but that would add another layer of troubleshooting if I run into problems, so...
When I get it working, I'm going to try it with Logic, DP, and FCP.
