| Well I got my MC Control today and I'm a little confused as to how I should hook it up via ethernet. I only have the MC Control now, but will be getting 4 of the MC mix soon.
Should I get a dedicated (gigabit) router, and plug it into the second ethernet port on my Mac?
Or, do I just plug into my LAN network via the multi-port gigabit switch I already have the computer plugged into? This would be using the router that feeds my whole LAN via DHCP.
I guess for now since I only have the Control, I can plug right into the computer's second port- or not...
But what about when the rest is delivered? This whole system will be about 40 feet away from the computer which is in my machine room. Do I put a dedicated router in the CR and then run one CAT6 to the MR to that second port, or run 5 CAT6 cables to the existing switch, also in the MR?
