| So after an evening with these things I have to say they got this stuff working really well. I mixed a song in logic and it went without a hitch. I did some stuff in pro tools and also worked as advertised. Editing plugs with the control is really cool. I am really excited to see where all this goes.
I do still wish they would come out with a C|24 style system for more of a wow factor in the studio. Customers will look at these and think they are more of a toy than the Mackies. At least the Mackies when put together looked like a board. I think it would be pretty simple, all the R&D is done. All they need to do is spread things out a bit and add a real meter bridge. Eleborate on the master section a little. and put a 5 to 10k price tag on it and they are done. If they dont I may look into doing my own, hell I would pay Euphonix 10 grand to have a one off done. Call me old (and I am) but I want an aircraft carrier in front of me. I just cant get used to no board as hard as I try. |
