| Thanks a lot for the replies. I've only ever used 96 on projects with minimal track counts, but I think you're right--probably best to just stay at 48 and save myself the hassle altogether. Thanks Peeder, I will look into that in case I get high sample rate sessions in the future. I think the Aurora is a really nice unit. I got a great sound on a choir recording I did yesterday using 4006s through a Pacifica>Aurora. Really warm sounding. And did it at 48.
Roc--I got a session at 96 from a guy and wanted to run it through my vari-mu/ibis on the 2bus. Are you saying, if I got it at 48 and upsampled to 96 it wouldn't improve it?
The only way I can currently stay at 96 with the current project is to run it in and out of the 003s converters. Do you guys think it would be better to downsample the sessions to 48 and use the Aurora's converters instead?
