Well I have only had my Prophet 08 keyboard for two days now, but I am very pleased so far with the build quality of this synth including the knobs.
On my unit, the knobs are not wobbling like the unit I tried in the store (not much mind you), which I guess was totally abused over time. The knobs on the demo unit worked perfectly though, and I really gave them a full test - cannot fault them to be honest. If you take a look at the inside pics of the PCB boards of the Prophet 08, the long plastic shafts are the reason for the slight flex on the knobs, and according to DSI they were designed to do that.
For the price, this synth is just silly fun. The sound has got me hooked to this board for hours. I have already over written about four patches with my own sounds. I love it.
