As reported I have 2 dropouts in procedure 1.
I had to connect my new Eventide 2016(
) so I could do the procedure 2 easily too now as you described.
With buffersetting 512 samples of the two Lynx AES cards I found a delayshift in track 3 of 512 samples so 1x buffersetting. That confirmes your findings.
